Summary: Privacy First, Always
Good Loop was built on a foundational promise: we cannot see, sell, or lose your data because we never collect it in the first place.

- ✓Stays on Your Phone: Your habits and progress are saved only on your device.
- ✓Apple Health Stays Private: Your health info never leaves your phone.
- ✓No Tracking: No analytics, no ads, and nothing shared with other companies.
1. What Information is Stored
When you use Good Loop, all information you configure or record is stored strictly locally:
- Habit definitions, icons, target numbers, units, and custom titles.
- Daily completion logs, timestamps, and focus session timer durations.
- Local reminder schedule preferences and notifications settings.
- App preferences (such as light/dark appearance and haptic toggles).
We do not maintain any cloud database, user management service, or remote servers.
2. Where Data is Stored
Your data is stored exclusively on your Apple device within a secure local SQLite database located in the App Group shared container:

This sandbox allows Good Loop to display your live habit loops inside Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets. No third party or unauthorized app can access this container.
3. Apple HealthKit Integration
Good Loop optionally integrates with Apple HealthKit (iOS Health framework) to automatically log health-related habits.
Data We Read: With your explicit affirmative consent granted through the standard iOS HealthKit permission dialog, Good Loop reads:
- Step count (

Strict HealthKit Guarantees:
- Health data retrieved from Apple Health is processed strictly on-device.
- Health data is never transmitted over the internet, uploaded to any server, or shared with third parties.
- Health data is never used for marketing, advertising, profiling, data mining, or sold to data brokers, in full adherence to Apple Developer Program License Agreement and App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(i).
4. Analytics and Telemetry
Good Loop contains no third-party analytics SDKs (such as Google Firebase, Meta Pixel, Amplitude, or Mixpanel). We do not collect behavioral telemetry, device identifiers (IDFA), or location data.
On the App Store, our Privacy Nutrition label accurately declares: “Data Not Collected”.
5. Data Deletion and Portability
Because your data resides entirely on your device, you have complete sovereignty over it:
- You can delete individual habits or logs within the app at any time.
- You can export your raw habit history in Settings > Export Data.
- Deleting the Good Loop app from your iOS device immediately and permanently purges all associated SQLite database files and widget cache from your device.
